Chester Baldwin
Chester Baldwin

Chester graduated from the University of Washington Foster School of Business with Honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Business Computer Information Systems and concurrently earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from the UW School of Public Health and Community Medicine. After graduating, he worked as a financial analyst and healthcare consultant for five years for Mercer Human Resource Consulting before attending Seattle University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate, graduating with Honors. Mr. Baldwin is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Thurston County Bar Association and is also admitted to practice in Federal Court.

Mr. Baldwin has worked in private practice in Olympia for over a decade after beginning his career as a Rule 9 Prosecutor with the Thurston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Baldwin Legal Group, PLLC specializes in protecting clients’ rights including work on zoning and land use, general real estate issues, unlawful detainers, and select criminal cases. Chester also represents homeless youth in Juvenile Court pro bono.

Chester works with the Thurston County homeless shelter and has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Thurston County. Chester is an Eagle Scout and actively volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America.

Spencer Baldwin
Spencer Baldwin

Spencer Baldwin is an attorney admitted to practice in the states of Washington and New York. Spencer grew up in Washington State and graduated from South Puget Sound Community College with an associates degree as a high school student, and later attended University of Washington for degrees in Political Science and Communication.

He attended Northeastern University School of Law, which has a unique Cooperative Legal Education Program (co-op) that allows students to work full time in a legal field during school.
Spencer's co-ops were with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston; the United States Senate, Senate Judiciary Committee for Senator Feingold; the American Antitrust Institute; and the Law Office of David Balto. Spencer worked in litigation, compliance, and review of mergers and acquisitions.

As a Research Fellow for the American Antitrust Institute, Mr. Baldwin studied the effect of private antitrust litigation on both market participants and consumers. He helped co-author an Ohio torts treatise, writing two chapters on lender liability and bad faith in insurance contracts. Mr. Baldwin also worked as a researcher/writer for Consumer Federation of America where he studied consumer complaint websites and the effectiveness of interest rate policy under state and federal usury law. As an associate, Mr. Baldwin worked on multistate class action litigation while serving the interests of his clients before regulatory agencies and specialized in building coalitions between market participants to bolster the best outcome from a transaction. He worked in healthcare, transportation, telecommunications, and the related intellectual property matters in those markets.

Following his work in the antitrust field, Spencer moved home to Washington State to work in government affairs. Spencer works as a consultant for legislative and legal research, specializing in multistate legal issues, disruptive markets, and the intersection of technology and policy. Spencer is passionate about transportation issues and works extensively on regulatory challenges in those markets.

Reanne Robertson
Reanne Robertson

Reanne Robertson is the legal assistant and office manager at Baldwin Legal Group. As a previous business owner for over a decade, she has extensive experience in administration and office management services. Mrs. Robertson successfully completed a continuing law education class on Unlawful Detainers and has been involved in several eviction cases in multiple counties. Through her participation in these cases, she has become an expert in Unlawful Detainers, proper court procedures, and local judge preferences for Mason, Lewis, and Thurston County.
